By using this website or requesting our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2nd Storie Contracting provides professional roofing services, including but not limited to:

• Cedar shakes and shingles installation and repair
• Metal roofing installation and maintenance
• Flat roofing systems
• Asphalt shingle installation
• Flashing and sheet metal work
• Emergency roof repairs
• Roof inspections and assessments

All services are subject to availability, scheduling, and our professional assessment of project feasibility and safety requirements.

3.1 Quote Accuracy: All quotes and estimates provided are based on the information available at the time of assessment. Final costs may vary if additional work is discovered during project execution or if material prices change.

3.2 Quote Validity: Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, after which pricing may be subject to change.

3.3 AI-Assisted Measurements: Where drone technology or AI-assisted roof measurements are used, these are provided as estimates only. Final measurements will be verified on-site before work begins.

3.4 Acceptance: A quote becomes a binding contract when signed by both parties and a deposit has been received.

4.1 Deposit: A deposit may be required before work commences. The deposit amount will be specified in your quote.

4.2 Payment Schedule: Payment terms will be outlined in your project quote. Standard terms include progress payments for larger projects and full payment upon completion for smaller jobs.

4.3 Late Payments: Payments not received within 30 days of invoice date may be subject to interest charges at a rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum).

4.4 Payment Methods: We accept cash, cheque, e-transfer, and credit card payments (credit card payments may be subject to a processing fee).

5.1 Workmanship Warranty: We warrant our workmanship for a period specified in your project contract. This warranty covers defects in installation but does not cover damage from weather events, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

5.2 Material Warranties: Roofing materials come with manufacturer warranties. We will provide warranty documentation for all materials used. Claims under material warranties must be directed to the manufacturer.

5.3 Warranty Exclusions: Our warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by extreme weather events or acts of God
• Damage from improper maintenance or repairs by others
• Normal wear and tear or aging of materials
• Changes to building structure or roof deck not performed by us
• Damage from satellite dishes, antennas, or other installations by third parties

6.1 Service Limitations: To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2nd Storie Contracting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from our services.

6.2 Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

6.3 Website Use: This website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6.4 Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather conditions, material shortages, labor disputes, or acts of God.

7.1 Changes: Any changes to the scope of work must be requested in writing and will be subject to additional charges. We will provide a change order for approval before proceeding with modified work.

7.2 Cancellations: If you cancel a project after work has commenced, you will be responsible for all costs incurred to date, including materials ordered and labor performed. Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.

7.3 Weather Delays: Roofing work is weather-dependent. Delays due to inclement weather are not considered breaches of contract, and project timelines will be adjusted accordingly.

8.1 Site Access: You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to your property for our crew and equipment during the project duration.

8.2 Utilities: You agree to provide access to water and electricity if required for the project.

8.3 Safety Zone: You agree to keep children and pets away from the work area for safety reasons during active work hours.

8.4 Property Protection: While we take all reasonable precautions to protect your property, you acknowledge that roofing work may result in vibrations, debris, and minor disturbances to landscaping near the work area.

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and drone imagery, is the property of 2nd Storie Contracting and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

We may use photographs of completed projects for marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt out in writing.

Your privacy is important to us. Collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to:

• Collection of contact information for project communication
• Use of drone photography for roof assessments
• Storage of project details and quotes in our database
• Communication via email for project updates and occasional marketing (you may opt out)

11.1 Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

11.2 Venue: Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.

11.3 Dispute Resolution: In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, mediation will be attempted before pursuing litigation.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

For contracts already in progress, the Terms in effect at the time of contract signing will apply.
